Simulation Software Engineer
Mid to Senior level Software Engineer to support DoD training system development activities. This position is located in Orlando, Florida. The engineer will support software development, including requirement analysis, conceptual design and development, software implementation, integration and testing, in a team environment, under task lead supervision.
Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline such as EE and CS. 3+ years of experiences in software design and development, integration and testing, as well as software trouble shooting and technical documentation generation.
Expert level of efficiency in Java, C/C++
Mid-senior level of GUI design and development skills
DIS/HLA implementation experiences
Strong Object Oriented Design background
Game Industry experience a plus
Other Requirements: Ability to obtain a DoD Secrete Clearance is mandatory, current clearance preferable.
Entry Level Software Engineer:
Involve in all life-cycle phases of software development including analysis of the requirements, design of the software, as well as code and test. Develop complex software solutions utilizing software development methodology within the systems engineering life cycle. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math or equivalent discipline.
1-2 years of software development experience
Experience with writing applications for Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience with Object Oriented Design and Data Oriented Design.
Willingness to learn and improve skill set by working with a core team.
Strong debugging and problem solving skills.
Supports the design and creation of software test cases, scenarios, and procedures that incorporates the use of a variety of software applications and tools; Performs unit testing, configuration item and system level tests, and support verification/validation testing as required; Develops test plans and test reports for all levels of testing performed.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university. May substitute relevant military or work experience in lieu of degree.
2+ years of experience in a Test Engineer position primarily working with a team in testing new software baselines, as well as supporting installation of software and hardware at remote sites.
Preferably with constructive simulation system experience, JCATS, AVCATT, CCTT, BCS, SAF, Red Hat LINUX, Windows, VMWare.
